'Managing rivers with climate change and expanding populations'
The 9th International Riversymposium focuses on river management and the integration of science, business, institutions and the community in managing the problems facing rivers, waterways and catchments around the world. This year the symposium will particularly explore 'Managing rivers with climate change and expanding populations' across a number of topics.

ABC National Radio Interview: Dancers after the Swansong
When the final curtain falls - what happens to professional dancers at the end of their dancing career? You may be surprised to know that many have no real plan - and the transition can be difficult. A new program to help dancers find their street feet has been launched which is a partnership between Ausdance and the AIS. With Julie Dyson, National Executive Officer of Ausdance and Tracy Carradous, a dancer with the Sydney Dance Company.

Adelaide Thinkers in Residence
Adelaide Thinkers in Residence brings world-leading thinkers to live and work in Adelaide to assist in the strategic development and promotion of South Australia. The Thinkers undertake residencies of 2 - 6 months, in which they assist South Australia to build on its climate of creativity, innovation and excellence. The Thinkers provide the State with strategies for future development in the arts and sciences, social policy, environmental sustainability and economic development.

Forum for European Australian Science and Technology Co-operation (FEAST)
Following a Global Call for Proposals, Australia has been successful in receiving a grant from the European Commission to continue the work started under the Forum for European Australian Science and Technology Co-operation (FEAST). The new project, also to be know as FEAST, is strongly supported by the Australian Department of Education Science and Training and is hosted by the Australian National University on behalf of Australia’s research community. The Forum has been established to assist researchers in all disciplines seeking to collaborate with researchers and institutions based in Europe or Australia.
