an
evening with Michael Gow
Director of the Queensland Theatre Company
Tuesday, 8th June 2004
National Trust House, Brisbane
The evening was a relaxed and entertaining event with plenty of opportunity
for open discussion.
Michael spoke of his vast experience in theatre but particularly in relation
to the last five years in his position as Artistic Director/CEO with Queensland
Theatre Company. The evening also raised other points for discussion such
as Queensland’s developing role in national and international markets,
the development of performance in regional areas and in education as well
as the intricate in’s and out’s of creating performances for
as Queensland’s State theatre company including not-so-controversial
name changes!
The Academy is very fortunate in being able to present such eminent speakers
as Michael Gow and is pleased that strong and personal links with our speakers
remain long after the event itself. Such events also provide the ideal atmosphere
for fellows and members to meet with such guests and with one another.
