Professor Lori Lockyer (BA Hons, MLIS, PhD) is an internationally leading expert in educational technology and is currently the Executive Dean of the Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice Faculty at Queensland University of Technology. Lockyer has made contributions to advancing knowledge in three key domains (1) how technology enables and promotes learning in school, university, and professional settings; (2) the professional practice of educators; and (3) learning design and analytics. Her work hasproduced new knowledge about psychological, sociological, and technological influences on learning and professional practice and produced award winning digital learning environment as well as tools and resources that support educators to design effective technology-enhanced learning experiences for their students. Prof Lockyer has published two edited books, 21 book chapters, 50 journal articles and 80 refereed conference papers attracting over 5,000 citations. Prof Lockyer has collaborated with colleagues in Australia and internationally to secure 1 ARC Special Research Initiative ($16m), 3 ARC Discovery Projects (~$900k in total), 4 ARC Linkage Projects (~$720k + $1m cash contribution from partners in total), 3 Office of Learning and Teaching grants (~$7600k in total), 1 National Health and Medical Research Council development grant ($130k). Including funding from overseas funding bodies, she has been awarded more than $18 million for her collaborative research.
