- B.Sc. (ANU), Dip.Ed. (CCAE, now U of Canberra). Retired marine and island parks manager and ornithologist. Career spanned 10 years with the former Australian National Parks and Wildlife Service surveying and developing policy and managing Australia’s external territories of Christmas Island, the Cocos (Keeling) Islands and the Coral Sea; and 15 years planning and developing policy and management strategies for the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park and especially its endangered species.
