Tim McLennan has over 25 years’ experience in strategic research management, early stage start up and venture management as well as later stage technology commercialisation.  He has extensive international experience (with a deep focus in Latam) and worked across a wide range of industries including mineral and energy resource sectors, energy technology, water, robotics, education and aerospace.

Tim is the CEO of the Queensland University of Technology’s commercialisation arm, QUT Bluebox Pty Ltd and is also the Honorary Consul of Colombia (Qld), Board member of the Australia Latin America Business Council (ALABC), Council member of the Queensland Futures Institute and member of the IMCRC Investment Committee.

Previous roles include:

• Senior management and executive commercial positions at the Commonwealth Industrial and Scientific Research Organisations (CSIRO),
• Executive Manager of the Queensland Centre for Advanced Technology;
• Board member Australian Water Recycling Centre of Excellence (2013-2016),
• Board member of the DFAT Council on Australia Latin America Relations (COALAR) (2012 - 2016);
• Austmine Limited Board (2006 - 2011), and
• Board Member Australian Government Resource Technology Innovation Centre (2009).
